The mission of the Department of Public Health at Montclair State University is to prepare culturally competent professionals in public health, with a strong focus on social justice. Our interdisciplinary programs train public health practitioners with skills for planning, implementing, evaluating, and sustaining efforts to enhance population health and eliminate health disparities. We offer both a B.S. in Public Health and a Master of Public Health, with concentration in Community Health Education, both of which are accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
